Baby Shower Invite

I made some baby shower invites for a shower I am giving for one of my good friends!!  She is expecting baby #3 and it's a boy!!!!  :o) I totally snagged this idea from the Stampin' Up! catalog.  I was in a bit of a time crunch to get these out and I just didn't have the brain power to come up with anything original.  I think they turned out cute though.  I am so in love with the banner thing right now!  I wish I had more time I would just make and put up banners all over everything!
thanks for stopping in!

Alli's baby shower

I'm home, I'm home!!! It is so nice to go on vacation and then even nicer to get back home to my sweet family!! I had such a great time in Seattle! I wish I could've bottled the cool weather and brought it back with me!! :) One of the things I did while I was there was throw a surprise baby shower for my sister Alli, along with my sisters and my mom. Also 2 of my mom's good friends helped us pull it off too!! Thanks Lori and Vicki!!! I made the shower invites a few weeks ago and got them in the mail before I left. Alli was surprised...we pulled it off and we had such a good time! I made a diaper cake too but can you believe I forgot to take my camera and get a picture so I am waiting for one...as soon as I get one I will post pictures (cuz it turned out super cute!!) I found this cute paper at Archivers and then went with that as my inspiration to create the card. I used my little circle stamp from Little Pieces for the body. I used my 1/2 inch circle punch to punch out coordinating papers. The buttons were from Archivers too. I used floral wire to make the antennas. It was a little time consuming but I just planted myself in front of the t.v. watching the Olympics and it made it easy!!
gotta run...so much to do today!

bridal shower

I have been working on another order for some bridal shower invitations. The brides colors are yellow and purple. Those are hard for me but I think I made it work with the help of some super cute paper I found at Archivers. I used this darling Bride to Be stamp. I added some star dust stickles to parts of the flower bouquet to make it sparkly for a bride. I colored it with my markers and blender pens and wanted kind of a watercolor look so I wasn't real careful about staying in lines. I used this gorgeous sheer polka dot ribbon from May Arts and also added a tiny little purple sheer ribbon to it too. I think that's about it! I am still finishing up that last few things to get them in the mail to my customer but I wanted to share it with ya!
Have a marvelous Monday!!!

Hey! Can you believe it's Friday already...where did the week go? I don't even know!! I haven't been able to post cuz I have been busy working on orders for customers. I am going to share one quick thing I got done this week though. Another onesie card! I know...I know another one?!!! My sister is having her baby shower in Seattle and since I can't be there...cuz I am all the way down here in Katy...I wanted to be a part of it somehow. I asked the girls throwing the shower if I could make the invites? I know we have seen these alot but my sister hasn't and I know she will love this! I gotta run...kids are out of school today and I have to go play entertainer!! Before I go is anyone else doing the happy dance?...The Office has returned...I watched last night and it was sooo funny! Thanks for stoppin' in and for all your tremendously kind comments! I hope you have a fantastic Friday!!!!!

bride to be...

Wow...what a week...it went by so fast! I can't believe it's Friday already?!! We have had a busy week ! I will get to all that in another post but I wanted to share this card I made for someone...I can't tell you who it's for cuz she checks out my blog...although if she reads this she may guess it's for her! I finally got my stuff I preordered from the Occasions Mini catalog. It was sitting in SLC for a while waiting for the weather to cooperate. I love the Big on Spring stamp set...it is so darling...I have already used all 3 of the stamps. I knew there wouldn't be a ton of opportunities to use the "bride" stamp so I am taking advantage of every chance I get!! I used the colors from the Summer Picnic DSP. I colored in the image with my blender pens and markers. I layered lots of papers, added a few brads, a little ribbon...and whalla! (is that a word?) Well...have a fantastic day! Thanks for stopping by!!

too much cuteness!!!

I can't even begin to explain the cuteness factor today!!! Are you just eatin' it up too?...these cards are sooooooo darling! I totally copied this idea from a couple of very talented ladies!! I LOVE their work! Lauren has the directions on her blog....click here for directions. Mary Jo also made some super cute onesies! Check out their blogs and see where my inspiration came from! I was asked just a few days ago to make some baby shower invitations for an upcoming shower...I am totally going to make these cute onesies for the invites!!! I am in a huge hurry today...I cheated big time and came down to make this card while I was waiting for the rollers in my hair to dry...I was supposed to leave for Costco about 30 mins. ago! {How could you not make one of these cards though after seeing them?} It was worth it though....I will just be running a little faster than already planned today to get everything done!

a shower invite

Ok so I made some changes to the baby shower invitation.. it just didn't look quite right to me and so I tweaked it a little. I decided to do the invites in pretty in pink instead of regal rose...just seemed more appropriate to me. I also thought the black 'your invited' seemed to harsh and so I chose Old Olive instead. I did away with the brads (even though they are super cute) and opted for piercing holes in each scallop of the rectangle. I think everything else is pretty much the same. If you want all the card details they are at the bottom below the old pic...what do you think?....are the changes better? :)
Here are a couple things I was able to make last night...things got a little to crazy to post them though..sorry 'bout that. The first one is a baby shower invitation. Do you like it? I used my 'just arrived in the mail about 30 seconds earlier' Paper Tray stamp set!! It's my first Papertrey Ink set...I love how many things you can do with it...lots and lots of sentiments! The invite is actually just a postcard type...with all the info on the back.
