Picture Frame Decor

I saw a cute idea on Pinterest and wanted to try something similar...so this is what I came up with.  I made a Halloween frame and a Fall/Thanksgiving frame.  They took more time that I had intended them too...but that isn't an unfamiliar thing around here!  They were fun to do though and now I have a couple of really inexpensive and cute Holiday decor items to display.  I bought the frames at Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off.  They are 5x7's.  I cut the pumpkins from an image on my Silhouette.  Everything else on there is from Stampin' Up!

A Thanksgiving Table

Happy Thanksgiving weekend!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We had a fabulous Turkey Day! It was so relaxing...full of family time! It was perfect. We didn't have any visitors and we didn't go anywhere it was just us and we loved it! I thought I would share our Thanksgiving table since it was very crafty. I have been working on it here and there over the last few weeks. I like to keep things simple when it comes to the table so that the clean up is that much easier. I have never been big on "real" plates...cuz it's just more dishes to wash. I always find cute square paper plates and then we pull out the fancy wine glasses so we can have sparkling cider! So...under the flowers is a placemat type thing I made. I got the idea from Mary Jo's blog. It was so easy...you just cut out the large pennant die in different coordinating papers with your Big Shot and tape them together. The confetti circles are just extras from cutting out the pennants. I made some paper pumpkins for the center too. Each person got a pillow box with Andes Mints in them. I punched a big scallop circle from my giga scallop punch to put under the sparkling cider glasses. I used some dsp from last year that I had for the place mats under the plates...the colors just happened to match my Autumn Vine paper. The last thing is the name cards...I posted those awhile ago...I used some Doodlebug Rub-Ons for the names.
Have a wonderful rest of your holiday weekend!

Lollipop Tree

Wow is it Tuesday already? The weekend went by so fast...so did Monday. I didn't get any stamp time till now! That's ok though...I had an absolutely fabulous weekend with my family.
I figured I would start out the morning with the color challenge on Kristina's blog. I immediately thought of my tree set when I saw the colors. I have wanted to make a Lollipop Tree since I saw so many cute ones on Splitcoast. I don't know why I am calling it a Lollipop Tree...that's just what it looks like to me! This was super easy. I just punched out circles in different sizes and crumpled and distressed them and add them to the tree with saffron brads. The sentiment if from the Seasonal Sayings rub-ons.
I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday! Thanks for coming by!

Turkey Place Card

Yeah for Friday!!! I am so glad the weekend is here!! We are gonna be kinda busy with things going on but I anxious for some relax time too! :)
So what do ya think of this little guy on a place card? I love it! I took the same turkey from this card and just made it into a place card. I used a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch cardstock for the base. I used all my different punches for the turkey. For the name part I used some Doodlebug rub-ons. I sponged around a torn piece of paper with mustard on the piece of white paper. Last I added a piece of chocolate twill ribbon. The kids and I are going to make these for our Thanksgiving table this year. I guess it's a tradition we have {I am just now realizing I have made this a tradition and did it unknowingly...fun!} The kids and I make place cards ever year for our table. The kids think it's so fun to come to the table and find their spot! I thought they would love all the punching to make this turkey...so it should be lots of fun!!! :)

Harvest Window

Good Sunday Evening! I had the most awesome afternoon nap today! My sweet hubby and kids were so great to let me get some much needed rest! Shawners is going to be out of town this week so he knew I needed to start the week well rested! AND on top of that he and the kids cleaned the whole house so that I wouldn't have to do it tomorrow!! Are they the best or what?!! Also...we are suffering from a Halloween Candy hangover...but isn't that what it's all about! :) We had alot of fun trick-or-treating Friday night.
Here is a card a I made a while back. I am doing a card class this week at my church and this is one of the cards some ladies signed up to make. I stamped the window and sentiment in Staz-On ink. I colored the image with my blender pens. On the top window I filled the whole thing in with Crystal Effects to give it the look of a real window. I also added some to the fruit to make it look a little more 'real' too. I used my new favorite the chunky chocolate ribbon {there is just something about saying chunky chocolate that I love!} I finished off the card with a few brads. I hope the ladies will have fun making this one!
Have a fabulous start to your week!!

another rosette

Actually this was the first rosette and card I made yesterday. I decided to try my hand at it again for the color challenge. (posted below) I love this card. I love the Autumn Vine paper and I am in love with the super chunky double stitched ribbon! I am already having to order more of this! I used versamark to add just a hint of a background on the saffron paper...I didn't want to take anything away from the rosette. {check out Angie's blog for the "how-to" on these!} Have a FANTASTIC Thursday! Only one day till Halloween! yippee! Thanks so much for coming by and all the kind comments you leave! Ya'll are awesome!!

Friendship Tree

What am I doing up so early on a Saturday?...it's terrible isn't it?! Kailee had choir auditions this morning so we all got to be up bright and early! So...since I am up you get a new post! I have my stamp club meeting tonight and this is one of the cards we are going to make. Don't you absolutely love the *fat* ribbon! This is a must have and you will love it too if you don't already! It's the 1 inch double stitched chocolate ribbon! I wanted that big knot on my card so I worked around that...a little backwards I know. I stamped my tree off of the paper and added leaves. I also added some of the beautiful Autumn Vine paper...don't ya just love it too?! A sentiment and a little blue bird and I was done! I think the gals in my stamp club will love this card!
I hope you have a great day! {{hugs}} I am super excited because after 14 days Shawners is gonna be home tonight!! :) yeah for all of us!

a fall tree

It's Monday....normally I would be less than excited but I am feeling so much better and not running a fever anymore that I am happy about everything today!! :) Even though I felt terrible I forced myself to sit down and stamp something...I haven't really stamped in almost a month {oh boy that embarrassing and painful to acknowledge} I have so many new fun things to play with and they are all just sitting there wasting away! So I pulled out my new tree...this is one of my favorite sets I think! I didn't do anything that hasn't already been done before I am sure but it was still fun to make. I inked up the leaves and punched them out with my 3/4 in. circle punch. I had to throw on a little Autumn Vine dsp {it's in the new Holiday Mini catalog and it is yummy!!} even though the large tree covers up most of it!
Well...I am off...lots of things to catch up on today since I was out of commission this last weekend!
*Have a marvelous Monday!!* chat at ya later...
