Halloween Peek-a-Boo

This little Peek-a-Boo is so cute!  It's fun to hear the reactions from my kiddos when they walk into the bathroom for the first time each Halloween season and see this "peeking" at them.

Picture Frame Decor

I saw a cute idea on Pinterest and wanted to try something similar...so this is what I came up with.  I made a Halloween frame and a Fall/Thanksgiving frame.  They took more time that I had intended them too...but that isn't an unfamiliar thing around here!  They were fun to do though and now I have a couple of really inexpensive and cute Holiday decor items to display.  I bought the frames at Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off.  They are 5x7's.  I cut the pumpkins from an image on my Silhouette.  Everything else on there is from Stampin' Up!

cutest m&m treats!!

Is this not the cutest??!!! I am LOVING it...I already started to make a bunch of these for teachers and a few friends cuz they are just too cute not to share with someone!!! I saw this cute idea on Jenny's blog Stamping Moments. She was kind enough to share her directions for this cute box! {look for Spring Lollipops on her blog} I loved the idea of doing suckers but after I went to the store and couldn't find just the right sucker I decided to buy some m&m's and come home and try this! I just changed the template by punching 3/4 inch circles instead of the little holes for the sucker sticks! Super cute right? You can also see some other cute versions of this on Inking Idaho and Thoughts that Stick. Have a fabulous Friday!!!

BOO!!!!

Did I scare you? I mean it has been eons since I last posted anything! I miss my blogging and my blogging friends!! Life is just busy and unfortunately blogging is one of those things that gets pushed to the bottom of the "to-do" list all the time! Apparently it is frowned upon to completely neglect your children so that you could be at the computer all the time or making cards and crafty things! Whatever!!! ;)
Anyway....here is a "BOO" banner I made. I saw some pictures from convention of a cute one that I wanted to make...so this is my version! I loved using the pennant banner differently than just the typical triangle I had been making all my banners out of. For the BOO letters I just printed out the word in a font I liked and cut it out and added black stickles to it!
I hope you have a wonderful relaxing Sunday!!!
Thank you so much for coming by!

Long Time, No Blog

Hello to all my blogger friends! What a crazy 6 weeks it has been! School starting, I was out of town, 1 week of sick kids, 2 birthdays, an anniversary and a hubby who is out of town for 3 weeks...I have had little time for stamping which is a total bummer!! I think that most of the crazy has died down and I am slowly squeezing in some fun therapy time for myself! I thought I would start out slow and simple. This was a fun idea I found years ago and just thought of it again to do! I made these for my daughter's kindergarten class and filled the bags with popcorn for a party they had. These are so simple the kids could help out in making them. I just used a 1 3/4 in circle punch for the "moon" and some black grosgrain ribbon for the "bats". I am going to be making a bunch of these for Halloween next month!
THANKS for coming by and for being so patient with me!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! I love Halloween! I can't wait for tonight! I love seeing the kids all dressed up and having fun sorting through their candy after the night is over! fun...fun...fun!
Here is a little box I made using the scalloped envelope die and my new Big Shot Die Cut Machine!! {you really must have one of these!} You just cut out 4 envelopes and glue them together to make it into a box. I added some extra dsp and ribbon and a little pumpkin stamp and it was done! It was a super easy project! You can find some great directions here on Jane's blog. I took some Hershey's nuggets and covered in them some halloween paper to fill up the box.
I hope you have a super fun & spooky Halloween!

Just Jawing

I got this set in my order that came the other day so I wanted to play around with it. It's super fun. I can see using this for lots of Kailee's friends! I have been very into the dazzling diamonds lately...so they keep ending up on my cards...and all over me too! I glittered up the bones...ya know cuz it's more fun when bones glitter! I used the layout from yesterdays Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast. This was a simple and fun card!
Have a fantabulous Thursday...AND thanks so much for coming by!!! :)

Halloween basket

Yeah for Mr. Brown coming yesterday! I got all sorts of goodies!! One of the things I ordered...finally...was the Big Shot Die Cut Machine. Of course the actual machine hasn't come yet cuz it's on back order but I did get my dies. I was too anxious to wait for the Big Shot to get here so you should have seen me this morning trying to get this thing through my Cuttlebug!! I think I tried about 10 times before I got it to work and cut out this little basket! It was worth it though! Isn't this cute...I can tell I am going to be using this thing alot!! (once it comes) {{FYI...you have to have one of these...if you are on the fence about it...jump off! I haven't even gotten mine and I love it already...the dies are to die for!!!}}Tyson suggested the paper with the spider web on it! Ty has a great eye for all things crafty just like his mom! I filled the basket up with Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses after I assembled it. I also added some stickles to the white dots but you can't really tell in the picture!
Have a wonderful Wednesday...chat at ya later!

Mini Pizza Box

Hey! It's already Wednesday...how did that happen? I don't even know....but before any more days get away from me I better share something. I made this mini pizza box last week. It was one of the projects we did at my Stamp Club last Saturday. These little boxes are simple to make. And you can add just about anything to jazz 'em up. I put 3 little Hershey bars in there that say 'You have been Booed'. They fit perfectly! gotta run...time to hit the showers!
Have a great day!

Halloween Mail

So I had this idea to take the cute mailbox from the Love Owl-Ways set and make my own little envelope with a bat and make some Halloween mail. I don't know? It didn't quite turn out the way I had envisioned. I am not sure if it's from the dsp I used or colors or what. It's sorta cute...{I know I am my own worst critic}. At the last minute when I thought I was done I added the owl...I think that helped. Anyway...I am going to attempt this again when I have some time.
Ok enough wishy-washy, down on my creativeness schtuff! How is your Thursday? Today it's absolutely gorgeous outside. I have the windows open and my music on...so despite my card not turning out quite like I hoped I enjoyed myself anyway! I am busy finishing up some projects for my Stamp Club on Saturday. I am anxious to get all of my to-do's done so I can watch my Thursday night TV....The Office...yeah!

Spooky Nights

The week is half over...what? So much to do and so little time! It's amazing how fast the time goes by when you don't want it to!! So as seems to be the norm these days this is a quick post! I sponged all the color on here...I don't have a brayer or even the slightest clue how to use one so I faked it! I used my tree and stamped it in black and thought it would make a perfect Halloween tree with all those empty branches. A few bats hanging upside down, an owl, a pumpkin and a black cat and that is pretty much Halloween! right?! I stickled the moon to make it stand out a little. I added some Ghostly Greetings paper, some kiwi ribbon and it's done!
Have a fantabulous day!

chocolate spiders

Ok...so I am still super busy but I had enough time to make 2 of these little guys which I have been wanting to do for a few days now. I saw this idea from some talented lady on Splitcoast. {here is the link to casegj's cute spiders} Aren't they cute?! These are the kind of spiders I can get on board with. They are super simple! There is a York Peppermint Patty in between the 2 black scallops. Then you use your photo corner punch for the legs! Could not be easier...you should take a minute and make some yummy spiders for yourself too!
gotta run...still gotta feed the kiddos!

i want my mummy...

Happy Friday...Did anyone watch The Office last night? It was awesome! ...wicka, wicka, wicka what? It was one of the best episodes yet! :) My hubby decided to watch the presidential debate tonight and I am bored so I am gonna do some stamping but thought I would first post this mummy card I made. I showed my Stamp Club girls this card. I wanted to show that you can make a cute Halloween card without Halloween stamps. I saw a few different versions of this or something similar on Splitcoast. For mine I just cut some vanilla paper into 1 inch strips and distressed the edges with my distresser. I inked the edges with creamy caramel and started laying them to look like a wrapped mummy. I used my circle punches for the eyes. It was really pretty easy.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!! I am gonna be hanging out with the family. Shawn leaves town on Sunday for 2 weeks and it's also Tyson's 8th birthday! :)

Witch Broom

I needed to do something to take my mind off of things and just do something fun. These last 4 days have been long! I found out Friday that my grandpa passed away. I was sorta in shock at first so when Saturday night and yesterday rolled around it sunk in a little more and I have just been sad. I know he is in a better place and I am so glad for that...I just worry about my grammie and hate to think of her being sad and lonely! I am getting ready to leave again for the funeral in southern Utah. I didn't even get a chance to unpack from Seattle...I have just been living out of my suitcase till I leave on Wednesday!
Anyway...I have wanted to make one of these cute Witches Broom treat holders since I saw it in the new Stampin' Up! catalog. {pg 29} It was really easy to make. I bought some smaller kraft colored bags from Michaels....they are 3 1/2in. x 6 3/4in. I used my ruler and hobby blade to cut the bag into strips. I forgot when I was at Michaels to get some sticks so I had to go snag one from the back of one of my bushes! :) I filled a clear treat bag with Halloween Peanut M&M's. {yum!} I tied it with this cute ribbon I also found at Michaels! The little pumpkin face is from the Autumn Harvest set and I just punched it out on a 1 1/4 in circle.
I hope you have a fantastic week. This will probably be my last post until next week. I have 2 birthdays coming up this month though...Kailee & Tyson are turning 13 & 8 so there will be lots to share as I make invites and get ready for their parties!! :)

purple people eater

Hey everyone! I have been busy with the kids and other various projects so I thought I would share a card I made about a week ago. On Splitcoast there is a demo challenge now called "Wicked". The ever talented Jan Tink showed us this cool technique called moonlighting. There were 3 challenges...all of which I got into this card...the technique, the colors and the layout. As soon as I started playing around with this card I thought of a one-eyed, one -horned flying purple people eater! (except for the flying!) He fits the bill nicely I think! Gotta keep this short today...I have to get to work on a special surprise I have for someone! (can't say who...she might see this)
I hope your week gets off to a fantastic start!!!
