Lunch Sack Albums

The books ended up pretty bulky after they were done but that's ok!
I didn't want to put other kids pictures on my blog without parents permission so I just photographed Ty's page.
I used jumbo eyelets to bind the book and put the ribbon through
Only a 1/2 day of school left!! I think I am gonna make it!! Although...this has never happened to me on a school day...I totally overslept this morning...missed my alarm, Shawn even said "wake up i am leaving" and nothing. I woke up at 8:15 which is the time the little boys are supposed to be at school!! aghhhhh! So the boys were late to school...oops. I think mentally I must be already out for the summer!!!
These are the lunch sack albums I made for Ty & Kyler's teachers. There is a picture of each child in the book. Also I went into the classrooms one day and kicked the teachers out so I could ask the kids questions. I put all of their answers on the back pages of each insert. Questions were, "What has she taught you?", "What will you miss about being in her class?" "Funny or silly things you remember from this year?" The answers I got were awesome! :) I think I used 4 sacks for each book. I bought a Simply Scrap Kit for each book {2 Sweet & Hoppy Memories} and just used mostly elements from that to decorate! On the back page of the book is a paper with all the kids signatures on it. These were so fun to do and I think both teachers loved their book!!!
Have a great day!

WOW....that's all I can say...WOW!!!

...can you believe the talent that is out there? Sometimes I just forget what talented ladies there are in the crafting world!! I was so excited when I stumbled upon this darling little purse! Jan Tink as she is known to some, is amazing!!!!!!! She thought this cute little thing up and created it and shared it on her blog! Of course I jumped on that and wanted to make one for myself! I have only finished the front so far...I am about halfway through the inside...I was just too excited to show this to you to wait for the whole thing to be done! So I looked at hers...then went to work making my own last night...then when I finished my front I went back to look at Jan's again to see her inside and oops....I made my front almost exactly the same as hers! Well...I didn't intend to totally copy it exactly but it is what it is....I am just excited that mine will be as cute as hers! :) So THANKS to Jan for sharing her creativity with the rest of us who can't seem to tap into that part of our brains...{or maybe I should just say, Thanks from me....I can't seem to tap into that part of the brain...seriously?! Where is that part? How do I get there?...and is there a key or a password or a special jig I have to dance to enter?... I know, I know, I am creative I have made some cute things...I'll admit that but the thinking things up is not my thing! I have sat and thought...hmmm what could I do that hasn't been done? What would be cute? I look at all the stuff at my table and then I sit for so long and get nowhere that I give up...mostly cuz the smoke coming out of my ears from brain overload scares my kids and the smoke alarm is dangerously close to going off!! So I go to my computer and look for some inspiration! I can't tell you how long I looked at those Carousel Notes and tried to figure out something cute to do with them!}
Oh well...That's why I am gushing about Jan today and all the other talented ladies out there who I case!! {I love that word, sounds so much better than copy!!} Thanks for the inspiration...for the great ideas and thinking the stuff up...my family thanks you too...I don't think I would be much good to them with a fried brain!
Ok...I gotta go...lots to do...my quick post turned into a long one...and although some of you might think I am crazy...I amused myself and had a good chuckle while writing this! :) ...cuz seriously...it's all very true!
what' in it?...
stamps...Three for You
paper...soft sky, Afternoon Tea, dsp, Carousel Notes & Envelopes
accessories...wild wasabi & chocolate satin ribbon, silver hardware
other...scallop & circle punches, dimensionals, crop-a-dile, circle cutter (CM)

happy birthday to my man!!!

It's Friday!!...yippee! Today also happens to be Shawn's birthday...or as he is known around here...Shawners!! He is 32 years young! Happy Birthday babe!! I have been working the last couple of days on a little project for him! I made a flip book kind of thing for him to keep in his office at work...so he can look at those sweet kids of his everyday and remember how much he is loved! Ok...so I started with 4 x 8 pieces of chipboard that were already punch and had the rings. Thanks to Tiff for that!!! All my papers and stickers came from the Creative License Simply Scrappin' Kit. Since I wanted it to stand on his desk so he could "flip" through it...each time you open to a new page there is a picture of one of the kids & a special note they each wrote to him about how they love him or favorite things they do together, etc. The last couple of pages are just random, fun & silly pictures we took at the park about a month ago. I hope he will like it...it was sure fun to make. There are lots of pictures to look at so you can see all the pages! Have a super great weekend!!! :) Also up above, the first picture is of the birthday card I made for him & the 2nd is the cover of the flip book. These are pictures of most of the pages...the last 2 pictures show what it will look like when you look through the book...Ty's page has a cute little note to dad and a list of all the things Ty likes to do with his dad! :) Thanks for coming by!!!
