Stationary Box

First things first...THANK YOU to all of you who gave your input on cameras!! It has been a huge help!! I am super excited to go get one...I am going in the next couple of days to get one. I have been doing all sorts of research online. Now it's time to go try the ones I like. Shawn was a huge help...he brought home one of his fancy pants cameras home from work and let me look at it and take a few pics (see photos above) to see what I liked and didn't like! As of now I think I am going with a Canon Rebel XS...Costco has the best deal right now! I know you will all be anxious to hear what I get...so I will update you soon!
Alright...post details! I first saw this on my friend Tiffany's blog. Then when I started looking around on Splitcoast I found tons! I found a few sets of directions there...I used pieces of a few to make this one. Here is a link to make the box...Jackie Topa's directions are fab! This is for a special friend of mine! I hope she will like it! I used the Crew Girl Simply Scrappin' Kit. My "notes, tags, birthday and stamps" words were just printed on my computer and then I punched them out with an oval punch. Inside are 6 cards with envelopes, 4 3x3 note cards with envelopes, 5 tags, a birthday book (each page has a month on it so you can keep track of birthdays throughout the year) and a place for stamps of course...oh and a pen. I attached my birthday book with velcro so that it can be removed easily for use but have a stable place to be stored.
Thanks for being patient with me...Have a fabulous, stampalicious day!!!
chat at ya later!
what's in it?...
stamps...Love You Much, Birthday Wishes
paper...regal rose, basic grey, pretty in pink, wild wasabi, whisper white, Crew Girl SSK dsp
ink...
regal rose, basic grey, pretty in pink, wild wasabi
accessories...rose, wasabi pink ribbon, silver brads, stickles
other...stamp-a-ma-jig, scallop edge punch, oval punches, sticky strip, slit punch, corner rounder, blender pens, dimensionals, velcro

This is great! I just made one the other day. I like the idea better that you ut velcro under the book..
I will do that next time. I put velcro on the "flaps" that go behind the box for easier closing on the lid. Stephanie

Next time I want to make one of these!!!! That is absolutely adorable and also so practical!
Congrats on the new camera too, that one had a lot of top marks in the research I have been doing too-you have graduated to the big time now! I think I am going to go for the durable, water proof one by Olympus- drop proof is very important for me.

This is very cute. I'll have to try one of these. Congrats on the new camera. Isn't it fun playing with a new toy! I'm still learning things on mine and I've had it for over 2 years. The pictures you have taken with it look wonderful.
