sugar dahlia

First...Happy Monday!! Second...I am just quite pleased with myself today...so if you aren't into the whole "patting myself on the back thing"...you may want to skip reading this post & just look at the pics!! ...cuz here is about how I feel today with this super cute card I made!! On Mondays at Splitcoast they have the "Try a new Technique" challenge. I have never done one of these...today was my first time! Click here to see the low-down on todays challenge! There were instructions to make this super neat dahlia flower out of paper!...how fun?..huh! So I thought why not give it try and I get to use my new Cosmo Cricket paper! So I think the pictures speaks for themselves and how happy I am with the way it turned out!! Isn't it darling...I LOVE this paper too!!! ...so yummy! I backed the flower onto a 3 1/4in. circle. I also used a build-a-brad for the middle of the flower to give it a nice big center! I added a ribbon and some little brads. I decided to leave it sentiment-less....so that I can use it whenever I want...in case I decide to keep it and admire it for a while!!!
Thanks for stopping by today and putting up with big head and puffed up chest!!
what's in it?...
paper...chocolate chip, regal rose, Hey Sugar Cosmo Cricket dp

ink...rose red

accessories...build-a-brad, pewter brads, chocolate ribbon

other...1 1/2 in. circle punch, circle cutter (CM), sponges, corner rounder, 1/2 in circle punch, dimensionals
